Malawi is a landlocked country in Southeastern Africa, bordered by Tanzania to the north and northeast, Mozambique to the east, south, and southwest, and Zambia to the west. Its capital city is Lilongwe, which is located in the central part of the country. Malawi is known for its diverse landscape, which includes mountains, plateaus, and the Great Rift Valley, along with the Lake Malawi, one of the largest and deepest lakes in the world. The country’s economy is primarily based on agriculture, with tobacco, tea, and sugar being major exports. Malawi is also known for its vibrant cultural heritage, including traditional music and dance. The country is a multi-party democracy and a member of the United Nations, the African Union (AU), and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).
