Armenia is a landlocked country in the South Caucasus region of Eurasia, located between Europe and Asia. It shares borders with Turkey to the west, Georgia to the north, Azerbaijan to the east, and Iran to the south. Its capital and largest city is Yerevan, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Armenia has a rich cultural heritage, deeply influenced by its early adoption of Christianity as a state religion in 301 AD. The country is a member of the United Nations, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
