Chad is a landlocked country in Central Africa, bordered by Libya to the north, Sudan to the east, the Central African Republic to the south, and Cameroon, Nigeria, and Niger to the west. Its capital and largest city is N’Djamena. Chad has a diverse geography, including the Sahara Desert in the north, the Sahel region in the center, and savannas in the south. The country is rich in natural resources, particularly oil and uranium, but faces economic and development challenges. Chad’s economy is primarily based on agriculture, livestock, and oil production. It is a multilingual nation, with French and Arabic as official languages. Chad is a member of the United Nations, the African Union (AU), the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), and the Sahel-Saharan Community (CEN-SAD).
