Mayotte is a French overseas department located in the Indian Ocean, between Madagascar and Mozambique, and is part of the Comoros Islands archipelago. It consists of two main islands, Grande-Terre and Petite-Terre, along with several smaller islets. The capital city is Mamoudzou, located on the island of Grande-Terre. Mayotte is known for its pristine beaches, coral reefs, and rich marine life, making it a popular destination for eco-tourism.
