With 557,755.8 1000 metric tons in 2024, Indonesia leads the world in coal and coke exports, followed by Australia (362,041.8 1000 metric tons) and Russian Federation (181,982.8 1000 metric tons). The top 5 is rounded off by United States of America (98,271.7 1000 metric tons) and Mongolia (74,701.7 1000 metric tons). Further down, South Africa (70,702.3 1000 metric tons) and Colombia (45,143.1 1000 metric tons) hold the next two spots. Canada (36,287.1 1000 metric tons), Kazakhstan (31,474.3 1000 metric tons), and Mozambique (16,187.1 1000 metric tons) round out the top ten. At the extremes, Indonesia is 34× as high as Mozambique (16,187.1 1000 metric tons). Three of the top ten are in Asia. Among these countries, Mozambique saw the largest year-over-year change at +52.4%.
