United States of America tops the global rankings for nuclear electricity installed capacity, recording 98.4 million kW in 2024, followed by France (63 million kW) and China (55.3 million kW). Russian Federation (26.8 million kW) and Republic of Korea (25.6 million kW) complete the top 5. Ukraine (13.1 million kW) and Canada (12.7 million kW) follow close behind. Japan (12.6 million kW), India (7.6 million kW), and Spain (7.1 million kW) round out the top ten. The spread is substantial: United States of America has 14× the figure recorded by Spain (7.1 million kW). Four of the top ten are in Europe. Among these countries, Japan saw the largest year-over-year change at -20.4%.
