Guinea leads the world in bauxite mine production at 150.0 million metric dry tons in 2025, followed by Australia (97.0 million metric dry tons) and China (87.0 million metric dry tons). Brazil (33.0 million metric dry tons) and India (25.0 million metric dry tons) close out the top 5. Next up, Indonesia (10.0 million metric dry tons) and Jamaica (6.2 million metric dry tons). Russia (5.7 million metric dry tons), Saudi Arabia (5.7 million metric dry tons), and Kazakhstan (4.8 million metric dry tons) round out the top ten. The gap across the top ten is wide: Guinea has 31× the value of Kazakhstan (4.8 million metric dry tons). Five of the top ten are in Asia. Among these countries, China saw the largest year-over-year change at +8.1%.
