Guinea leads the world in bauxite mine production at 150,000 thousand metric dry tons in 2025, followed by Australia (97,000 thousand metric dry tons) and China (87,000 thousand metric dry tons). Brazil (33,000 thousand metric dry tons) and India (25,000 thousand metric dry tons) close out the top 5. Next up, Indonesia (10,000 thousand metric dry tons) and Jamaica (6,200 thousand metric dry tons). Russian Federation (5,700 thousand metric dry tons), Saudi Arabia (5,700 thousand metric dry tons), and Kazakhstan (4,800 thousand metric dry tons) round out the top ten. The gap across this list is wide: Guinea has 31× the value of Kazakhstan (4,800 thousand metric dry tons). Five of the top ten are in Asia. Among these countries, China saw the largest year-over-year change at +8.1%.
