Gold mine production (2025)

China leads the world in gold mine production at 380 metric tons in 2025, followed by Russia (310 metric tons) and Australia (280 metric tons). Canada (200 metric tons) and the United States (160 metric tons) close out the top 5. Next up, Ghana (150 metric tons) and Mexico (140 metric tons). Kazakhstan (130 metric tons), Uzbekistan (130 metric tons), and Peru (110 metric tons) round out the top ten. The gap across the top ten is wide: China has 3.5× the value of Peru (110 metric tons). Three of the top ten are in Asia.
