China leads the world in phosphate rock mine production at 110,000 thousand metric tons in 2025, followed by Morocco (36,000 thousand metric tons) and United States of America (20,000 thousand metric tons). Russian Federation (14,000 thousand metric tons) and Jordan (12,000 thousand metric tons) close out the top 5. Next up, Saudi Arabia (10,000 thousand metric tons) and Egypt (5,500 thousand metric tons). Brazil (5,000 thousand metric tons), Peru (4,800 thousand metric tons), and Tunisia (3,300 thousand metric tons) round out the top ten. The gap across this list is wide: China has 33× the value of Tunisia (3,300 thousand metric tons). Three of the top ten are in Asia. Among these countries, Brazil saw the largest year-over-year change at -5.7%.
