China leads the world in phosphate rock mine production at 110.0 million metric tons in 2025, followed by Morocco (36.0 million metric tons) and the United States (20.0 million metric tons). Russia (14.0 million metric tons) and Jordan (12.0 million metric tons) close out the top 5. Next up, Saudi Arabia (10.0 million metric tons) and Egypt (5.5 million metric tons). Brazil (5.0 million metric tons), Peru (4.8 million metric tons), and Tunisia (3.3 million metric tons) round out the top ten. The gap across the top ten is wide: China has 33× the value of Tunisia (3.3 million metric tons). Three of the top ten are in Asia. Among these countries, Brazil saw the largest year-over-year change at -5.7%.
