India tops the global rankings for population aged 15-64 years (working age), recording 1M thousands in 2026, followed by China (990K thousands) and United States of America (224.3K thousands). Indonesia (196.7K thousands) and Pakistan (155K thousands) complete the top 5. Brazil (147.3K thousands) and Nigeria (137.9K thousands) follow close behind. Bangladesh (117.1K thousands), Russian Federation (93.1K thousands), and Mexico (89.8K thousands) round out the top ten. The spread is substantial: India has 11× the figure recorded by Mexico (89.8K thousands). Five of the top ten are in Asia, with three from Southern. Among these countries, Nigeria saw the largest year-over-year change at +2.9%.
